Rife Reigns Supreme at
Royal Troon
Vaughan rolls his Rife
to Seniors Open victory in the company’s first All-Rife play-off
On Sunday evening Bruce
Vaughan rolled in a 20 ft putt at the first play off hole, using his Rife
Antigua, to secure victory in the Senior Open. Vaughn’s win came at the
expense of John Cook (Rife Cayman) the other combatant in the first ever
‘All Rife’ playoff.
After collecting the
winners cheque Vaughan commented, “Until you win, you're just another
player. To me, it's all about winning and stuff. The money's great, but
you know, you only get a few of these.”
In total, Rife had 23
putters in play at the Senior Open including an astonishing 13 of the top
27 players, including Vaughn, Cook, Phil Blackmar (Aussie,) and Andy Bean
(Cayman) who all finished inside the top 10. With no players being paid to
use Rife, these stats further underline the potency of Rife’s technology
and go some way to explaining why Rife is still the most played putter on
the champions tour.
Ian Waddicar, Rife’s UK
and European distributor commented, “This is the 13th and most
important Darrel Survey that Rife has won on the champions tour this year.
It just shows that when the chips are down the experienced guys are
turning to a putter they can trust.”
Victories like this, and
the unpaid endorsement of Rife’s ‘truest roll in golf’ by some of the most
experienced players in the world continues to grow Rife’s reputation. With
the word spreading across the tours and many of the worlds top players
such as Justin Rose, Ian Poulter and KJ Choi, already having used Rife
this year it won’t be long before Rife has another major winner under its
belt.
About Rife
The secret to the
company’s success lies in its various patented technologies including
RollGrove™, the LieAline Custom Fitting System and a 4-point adjustable
weighting system all of which are seen in the new Two Bar Hybrid.
Rife Putters LLC is the
true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology, which has
been patented by the company as RollGrove™ since 1997. Precisely
spaced milled grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of
the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll to create the
truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the
putter face.
The LieAline™
Fitting System teaches players to automatically set-up to every putt in
the same, natural set-up position. Using a very subtle vertical notch
located on the back edge of the top line players can automatically tell
whether the putter is set-up to suit their putting stroke. If the player
can see the entire white sight line then the putter is set-up perfectly,
if not then you use the LieAline Bending tool to bend the hosel into the
ideal position for you. Once this has been done the player can benefit
from a more consistent and repeatable stroke path every time by using the
sight line.
Adjustable Weighting
allows players to apply different weight configurations to match speed of
the greens. It also increases stability and accuracy on off centre. The
4 point stability weighting system, as seen in the putters using
Two Bar technology, has stainless steel weight inserts in the heel and
toe. The additional rear weighting means the putter’s centre of mass is
still driving through the ball as the putter face makes contact with the
ball. By dispersing weight to the four furthest points of the putter you
have an extra large sweet spot, which provides your overall stroke with
more stability and the face remains squarer through impact.
